KAYCEE KELSEY
KayCee Kelsey is a Milwaukee-based filmmaker, creative director, and multifaceted artist known for her dynamic storytelling and deep commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Communications and Film Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, building the foundation for a career rooted in visual media and narrative craft.
In 2016, KayCee founded KMK Films, a full-service media production company specializing in film, television, commercials, music videos, photography and digital content. As a writer, producer, director, editor, and actor, she brings a comprehensive creative vision to every project, seamlessly working both behind and in front of the camera.
In 2022, KayCee created Rise to Fall, serving as writer, director, producer, editor, and lead actor. The series quickly gained momentum, earning over 16,000 views within its first month of release. Known for its authentic storytelling and commitment to representation, the project features a cast and crew composed entirely of underrepresented artists and Milwaukee natives. Season 2 was completed in 2025 and is now distributed across multiple platforms, including Amazon Prime, Tubi, and 8 additional streaming services.
While she has also produced video content for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater and worked with organizations such as Aurora Health Care, UW–Whitewater, La Causa, Inc., and others, Rise to Fall remains her most recognized and impactful work to date.
Deeply rooted in Milwaukee, KayCee continues to push creative boundaries while fostering collaboration, innovation, and meaningful storytelling within her community and beyond. KayCee believes everyone has a purpose in life, and her purpose is to inspire through visual storytelling.
